In the northwest of the Iberian Peninsula, where the Duero forms the border between Spain and Portugal, the river acquires a spectacular beauty as its channel narrows and deepens, creating the spectacular Arribes. Siete Pedaños is a privileged witness to this space declared a Natural Park, undoubtedly due to the beauty of its granite landscape and the richness of its fauna and flora. But also for its historical heritage, the result of the passage of different cultures such as the Celtiberian or the Roman, the Visigoths or the Muslims who gave way to Christianity.
Soils that have the mother rock "skin deep" with hardly any soil above the granite mass that has been crumbling to supply sand and sandstone to the soils on which the centuries-old vines strive to find the organic matter that hardly find. Minerals that in the end give the wines a unique personality that extracts from each particle of soil the aromas and flavors that always remain slender above so much poverty.
